VSF Fall Meeting series

The VSF Fall Meeting Series, which took place virtually in September 2020, had a dozen speakers covering a number of wide-ranging topics. You can view the full schedule and access presentations on the VSF website.

This included a RIST Activity Group update by Rick Ackermans, RIST Activity Group Chair and Director of RF and Transmissions Engineering at CBS. Rick talked through the differences between the original 2018 version of Simple Profile and the current document. He also discussed the major and minor features added in RIST Main Profile. Rick’s presentation highlighted the future roadmap of RIST including a number of features that are under development. You can view Rick’s presentation or watch his session.

Also featured was a presentation from Sergio Ammirata of SipRadius, an active participant in the RIST Forum and Activity Group. Sergio talked through libRIST, which was announced earlier this year. You can view his presentation or watch his session.

One of the RIST Directors was also an active participant in the VSF Fall Meeting Series. Kieran Kunhya, CEO of Open Broadcast Systems, presented line by line processing of video on IT hardware. You can view his presentation or watch his session.
