Increased RIST Forum Members to Showcase RIST-Enabled Products at IBC 2023

14th September 2023 - The Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) Forum has announced that it now has over 260 members with several of its members showcasing RIST-enabled products at the IBC Show from the 15th-18th September 2023.

RIST protocol is now supported by a large number of products, many of which are being showcased at IBC 2023. Highlights include:

Cobalt Digital, designer and manufacturer of IP and 12G/3G/HD/SD conversion, compression, routing and multiviewer technology for broadcast and production, will also be demonstrating at IBC 2023. Cobalt is announcing its new product, PACIFIC ULL-DEC, an openGear card that is capable of decoding H.262 (MPEG-2), H.264 (AVC), H.265(HEVC) and 4K. PACIFIC ULL-DEC supports an extensive set of audio CODECS and network protocols, including RIST. When combined with Cobalt 9992-ENC, this solution can achieve end-to-end latency of less than one frame.

SipRadius, which specialises in providing a versatile end-to-end suite of encoding, transport, delivery and visualisation platforms for the media and telecommunications industry, has announced demonstrations featuring RIST protocol at IBC 2023. Its new products, CoralCoderTM and the M.aXTM, will be showcased, supporting the transmission of JPEG-XS and AV1 CODECS using RIST protocol.

Leading members exhibiting include Amazon Web Services (5.C90, 4.C13), Cobalt Digital (10.F42), SipRadius (5.F47), Open Broadcast Systems (1.A40c), Zixi (5.A85) and Teradek (7.C10).

Associate members exhibiting include EasyTools (1.A50), Evertz (1.B79), Intinor(5.F55), and Net Insight (1.B41).

Affiliate members exhibiting include AJA Video Systems (7.C19), Arkona Tech (9.C01), Arqiva (8.MS6, 8.MS7, 8.MS8), Ateme (1.D33), BCNEXXT (2.EF001, 2.EF001x2), Caton(1.F36), Collabora (5.B66), CoralBaytv (7.409e), CyanView (10.D31g), DVEO (5.C60), Evensys (2.B59) and GlobalM (7.B15) among others.

The RIST Forum will be hosting a drinks reception on Saturday 16th September at the Zixi Stand (5.A85) from 5pm - 6pm.  

Additionally, on Sunday, 17th September from 4:00pm, there is a libRIST meet-up for those using the open source RIST library. The lead developers of libRIST - Sergio Ammirata, Ph.D., and Gijs Peskens of SipRadius LLC - will be available on Stand (5.F47).
